Concept
The concept of “The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE” revolves around the transience of youth and the collision of dreams and reality. As the world subdues bursts of creativity and free expression, TXT sends the message of fighting or escaping this cruel system. The “Escape” concept photo shows the members in a convenience store set up and there is a distinct rebellious mood to them. Concept clips were also released for each member as well as the group as a whole.
The “Fight” concept photos are set in a skate park and the members look free and spirited. Similar to “Escape”, concept clips were released for “Fight” as well.
The concept photos perfectly capture the spontaneous energy and power of the youth that TXT is trying to express through this album.
Fashion and Appearance
The fashion quotient for this comeback has been focused on certain specific areas. Mostly, the clothing is kept simple and casual but accessorized perfectly. The blinged-out scarf masks are definitely a highlight. In Huening Kai’s “Escape” concept photo, he’s wearing a pair of denim dungarees over a red and white sweatshirt. He has a heavy chain choker on which gives the look an edge. In his “Fight” concept photo, he’s wearing the classic white tee and jeans combination. In BeomGyu’s “Escape” concept photo, he’s wearing a black vest jacket over a white tee, a half fishnet glove on one hand, a pair of patterned half pants. In his “Fight” concept photo, he’s also wearing a white shirt and straight blue jeans. In TaeHyun’s “Escape” concept photo, he’s wearing a green and black striped cardigan over some blue jeans whereas in the “Fight” photo, he’s wearing a white and yellow crew neck over jeans. In YeonJun’s “Escape” concept photo, he’s wearing a red printed tee over some distressed red jeans. The focal point in this outfit, however, is his choker that says “Loser”, in a clever reference to their new song ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’. In SooBin’s “Escape” concept photo, he’s wearing a blue high neck under a black sleeveless jacket, ripped jeans and what looks like a tartan overskirt. In the “Fight” concept photo, he’s wearing a plain white tee, a green beanie and some jeans.
Dance
TXT’s choreography always leaves viewers speechless and with this comeback, they’ve done it once again. Their performance of ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’ enhances the impact of the song manifold and it is truly exciting to see the group play around and experiment with new styles. Their stage, in the music video at least, is a platform on top of a moving vehicle, which further amplifies the intensity of the choreography.
Music
There are a total of 11 songs on this album, 8 of which were previously released alongside 3 brand new tracks. The new songs are ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’, ‘MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari)’, and ‘0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori (Emocore Mix)’. Sonically, TXT has taken the road of rock and they’re delivering effortlessly on the genre.
